Highland Rivers is committed to creating and maintaining a work environment of compliance with federal, state and regional guidelines that facilitate a high quality of professional service delivery. The Georgia Department of Human Resources, through its provider contract, requires the Highland Rivers Community Services Board to include a Corporate Compliance Program as an integral part of our operations.
The federal Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General set forth specific guidelines and tenets for developing and operating Corporate Compliance programs and Highland Rivers has implemented its program in accordance with these standards.
The Business Code of Conduct handbook and mandatory agency-wide training are provided to the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, students, business associates and others who have a business relationship with the organization that fall within the guidelines of the plan. At a minimum, annual Corporate Compliance training updates will be provided to ensure adherence to the organizational requirements.
The Business Code of Conduct that follows outlines the responsibilities of staff and organizational directives regarding compliance expectations.
